Mines Wonderland Pic II

I think the "Ice Palace" inside Mines Wonderland is the best place. This is because inside the house, the temperature is as low as negative 10 degree celcius. At first I thought I don't need the jacket, but once I stepped into it, I ask my friend to hand me the jacket right away, cuz it is very COLD!! I can feel pain on my ears somemore, no joking! My sister used to told me long time ago about this place in Mines which is damn cold inside. Now I really got a chance to experience it. :)

Mines Wonderland Pics I

My friend, Wang Min is going back to China, so I decided to take her to somewhere in Malaysia which she never been before, after some fact findings, it seems that she never been to Mines Wonderland before, so I organize a mini trip for her with her friends.
To cut in short, there is not much to see in Mines Wonderland, if you ask me if I will come back again, my answer is a big 'NO'. :)

Olympic Rank and Win Contest

I bought a new washing machine from SenQ recently, so I am eligible to participate in this SenQ Olympic Rate and Win contest where as you will 'rank' on which are the top 15 countries that will be most likely to get most of the gold medals in Olympic.
So I went to olympic website and did a research on their past three years result. For this year, I am betting that China will be the top gold medals winner due to home court advantage. I am better the top winners will be 1. China, 2. USA, 3. Russia, 4. Australia, 5. Germany.
During my research, I found out that Cuba is quite good in sport too despite they are just a small island country! They are always the top 15 in Olympic. This is something I never expected, all I know about Cuba is their Cuban cigars, Cuban pretty girls (according to my ex boss who work in Latin American for quite some time) and Fidel Castro.
Anyway, the prizes for this contest will be a 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV, there will be 88 units for your to win. I just won a 32 inch Philipps LCD TV from Citibank few months ago by answering a few questions regarding KLCC. Now I will try my luck on thie 42 inch Plasma. In case you are curious where is the 32' LCD TV now, well, I sold it to my neighbor for RM1800, I will sell thie plasma TV as well if the price is ok, if not, I will just have it installed into my room.

Is this a Bleeding Heart or a Dying Heart?

Grandma on the loose

While I was about to reach my home, I saw there is a girl on the left side along the road, around 15 years old with school uniform, seems like hugging an old lady which is around 80 something years old trying to pull her over from the drain with all her might.

When I drove passed them I saw the girl is like very mad and want to hit the old lady with my rear view mirror. After drving for about 100 meter, I decided to u-turn my car to check out what is going on. I stopped my car somewhere near to the scene, hopefully I can get an answer out of it.

An Indian motorcyclist already stopped over there, I approach the motocyclist and ask the him what is going on? The girl with school uniform already went back to the house, I think her mother came out later on, the old lady was sitting next to the drain. The indian guy told me that the old lady trying to walk across the busy road and her family tried to stop her. She refused to go back even though her family members try to pull her back. So I ask the motorcyclist do you think they need help, or perhaps you and me can carry the old lady back?

At that moment, the mother of the school girl felt a little bit embarassed and luckily the old lady manage to stand up by herself and willing to follow her daughter-in-law back to her house by walking slowly. After I saw that, I turn away my back and started to walk back to my car. On my way home, I think that sometimes you will see a lot of these kind of kind-hearted people in Malaysia, just like the Indian chap, at least, he will stopped and find out what is going on, and be ready to lend any helping hands if needed, same thing happened when there is a car accident going on with people injured. Some people might think that he is just 'busy body' but I don't think so. There are a lot of bad guys in this world but luckily, the good one is always more than the bad ones. I think I remember I saw this phrase in the forum, correct me if I am wrong, it says something like "Evil will prevail when the good guys chose not to do anything about it."

Also, when I look at the lady, I also fear that one day I might be like her. Probably I just loose my mind and loose my reasoning skill one day when I get old, thus, I don't think I want to live that long seriously, may be around 70 y/o is good enough, just let me leave the world peacefully.

張艾嘉的故事

Something worth reading... I post it to share with you guys

Ratatoulie Episode I

Attached is the last picture which I took for this rat, when I said 'last picture' means I am going to send the rat to sleep... forever.. Sorry to say that I have no mercy to the pest like flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches and rats... lizard is still tolerable and I think you agree with me that it doesn't fall under "Pest category" YET.
It happens sometimes before Chinese New Year, where my mom took out four chinese sausages and put it on the counter top near the washing basin. After half an hour, she came downstairs and plan to heat up the sausages. Guess what? She notice one sausage is missing! Once in a while, I also notice the gardenia plastic bag was opened, finally one day I saw this rat ran across the floor in the kitchen and hid itself behind the oven, immediately, I know I got a job to do.
The first night you won't get to catch the rat, cuz he got the chinese sausage that last him for 1-2 days. So on the third day, I prepare a nice bait for the rat - A burnt squid! I want to use the aroma coming out from the squid to attract the rat, my mom thought me this trick... but I tell you, due to I didn't install the trap correctly, the cunning rat manage to grab the squid and came out from the cage.
So the second day, I use the same bait again.... then on the other morning, my mom woke me up and told me that I have capture the rat.... to cut the story short, I boiled some hot water.... take the above photos and let the rat take some hot bath... , after terminating the rat, I don't feel easy too cuz I just killed it, perhaps the rat is a mammal. I can only say, "may the rat rest in peace".

'Increase Sales' after Petrol Price Hike

I just came back from Giant about half an hour ago, it was full of people... It makes you feel like it is going to be Chinese New Year very soon because people are grabbing stuff like no tomorrow, from oil to rice, soya sauce to tomato sauce, etc... Everyone afraid of one thing - 'INFLATION!'.
With our cash on hand right now, you tend to get more stuff, after 2-3 months, you won't get what you can get today with your RM100 bill. I really doubt the government figure, which they said the inflation is only 5%, I wonder how they come out with such a figure.
My sister ask me to get two tins of milk powder for her 3 yrs old daughter, and then after I reach home, she told me that she should have ask me to get some diapers and other stuff for her incoming baby. I agree with her that it is a good idea to stockpile some baby stuff for now...

Fuel Hike Protest

Read the online newspaper that there is going to be a mass protest on fuel hike on 12th of July. I think I am going to bring my camera along and check it out.
Seriously, I can feel the pain of the low income earner, it is not that easy to survive in the city with low income, so I am going to stand out for the protest. Don't think I have nothing to do in the weekend, the chain reaction of fuel hike shall not be underestimated.

"Life is short, enjoy your life!"

That day I was driving my aunt to airport early in the morning. As usual, she was asking me when I plan to get marry and stuff. Then she was telling me that this ugly looking 40+ years old guy had pay "x" amount of money keeping a young and pretty chinese mistress, this and that. Basically she want to tell me that this guy was happy with what he did, at least he get to enjoy his life without much regrets, do something he want to do in his life. The last thing I can clearly remember is that she told me that "our life is short, just enjoy your life!"
After I went home and took a nap, I woke up and what my aunt said earlier keep on stirring my mind... It reminds me of what happened to a friend of mine...
This friend of mine got a pursuer, and she likes my friend more than he likes her.The girl is a teacher and also a Christian. My friend 'complained' to me that this girl keep on asking him to go to church with her, he told me he feels a bit annoyed, and he is very reluctant to go. For me, I think my fren doesn't like the girl that much, that is why he don't feel that going to church with her is not a fun thing to do, by pushing him to church will only make things worse.
For me, I don't see what is the big deal here? Even my friend is not a Christian, so what? Everybody has their own belief, my Malaysia boss is a Swedish guy that married a Malay girl, but sometimes me and my colleagues still see him eating pork, we are very curious if he is Muslim or Christian now because in Malaysia, you becomes a Muslim automatically if you marry one. Well, at least his wife doesn't force him not to eat pork or kick him to a mosque. I don't think I can become a Muslim, because I still enjoy my Bak Kut Teh and once in a while I want to drink some wine as I like and I will pay a visit to the Toto lottery shop.
Based on what my friend told me, you got to be a Christian to marry a Christian so both can meet in heaven after life. To me, who cares? Nobody knows where you will be after we passed away, you talk about heaven and hell? We don't even know if it exist or not after we are dead. Have anyone seen it? Even there is heaven and hell, with today's technology, I believe you can call up the corrupted government servant in hell and say "hi" to him while you are sitting in heaven or eden garden.
I have read news which a couple was stoned to death just because the Muslim girl fall in love with a Christian guy, what is wrong with that? They just treasure each other and they want to be with each other, why these people stop them from loving each other? Love is not a crime anyway? Isn't it better to have more love than hatred? Life is short, dude!
In my daily life, I have seen cases where Christian married a Buddhist or vice versa, I didn't see what is the problem? For me, I don't mind to marry a Muslim too, just that we have this very strict and bias law in Malaysia that make things difficult. If you are a Muslim, basically you are consider breaking the ties with your family and community already. Anyway, my friend had call it a quit with the teacher, guess he prefer to play with jotsticks rather than singing 'Amen' every Sunday.
Let see.... if I marry a Muslim, I don't mind if she want to wear a "tudung" or not, if she think she looks cool without tudung, fine with me. If not, I still think she looks cute with tudung. Of course I will respect her and I am totally OK if she never cook any pork and I won't eat pork in front of her, might probably cut down on pork consumption too cuz I am never a fan of pork, I always prefer mutton. Also, eventhough I know my rights but I don't think I want to marry four wives even though I think I can manage them (I don't think financially though), cuz I know I will definitely die younger.. hahahah; If I marry a Christian, I don't mind to wake up earlier on every Sunday and drop her to church if she feels like going to church, just give me a ring and I will go and fetch her after she is done. If I died, she don't have to pray with a jotstick if she don't feel like doing it.. 100% no problem, the same apply to the muslim wife. This is what we call 'respect'.
Well, the point that I want to say is related to the title. If you met someone that you love, why let this kind of religious thing hold you down? Does it worth it? For what? If he or she brought up this religious thing, and tell you that because you are not a buddhist, not a christian or a muslim. I guess he or she is just not in to you, period. No point forcing a person to change his or her belief when he or she doesn't believe in it, you got to be a person with your own principle sometimes. You can't force me to become a Muslim legally if deep inside my heart I don't even know how to pray with a Quran.
At the end, I can only repeat the what I said just now, "life is short, enjoy your life!". I am thinking of climbing mount KK while I still can.. Anyone interested?

Petrol Price Hike!

When the crude oil price almost hit 130USD per barrel, the government finally cannot stand it but to declare the increase of petrol price from 1.92/litre to 2.70 litre. When the news releases at 4pm, people are storming to the petrol station. The queue is getting longer and longer and it caused serious traffic jam on highways. It takes me 1 and half hour to reach home today which usually it takes only 30 minutes to reach home with light traffic.
Today, people don't care what brand of Petrol they are going to get, no matter it is Shell, BHP, Esso, Mobil, Caltex, Petronas, etc... they just try to pump whatever they can get in the petrol station, I guess quite a large numbers of petrol station will deplete all their petrol tonight, it really creates a very interesting scene, when you see people queue up for a long line to fill up their petrol tank no matter you are driving a tiny Kancil or a luxury Mercedes, they just want to rush for their final savings on petrol.
The worse is not over yet, I can imagine how the living cost will rise in few months time, I can imagine what kind of chain reaction it will happen after the petrol price hike, I hope the money saved from subsidy will be put in good use. Regular executives and white collars like me also can forsee and feel the pain, you can imagine how's tough is the life of normal workers who need to feed their families.

Instruction on a low cost flat

Saw this instruction painted on a low cost flat, I guess someone must have dumped his bio waste in this dumping area. The sentence means "Even the animals is good at finding a suitable place to shit".

My reply to him:
There is political problem, 'people' killed your parents, and you still have time to talk about investment? Hahhahaha, you must be kidding me!

Teardrops on my guitar

Recently I really love this song which I heard from the radio, it is from Taylor Swift's "Teardrops on my guitar". I am not going to post the song on my blog but I will post the lyrics, you can google it and download the MP3. :)

Teardrops of My Guitar, by Taylor Swift

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.
That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be.
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about.
And she's got everything that I have to live without.

Drew talks to me, I laugh cause it's just so damn funny.
That I can't even see anyone when he's with me.
He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right,
I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night

[Chorus:]He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do.

Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly,The kind of flawless I wish I could be.
She'd better hold him tight, give him all her love.
Look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause,..

[Repeat Chorus]So I drive home alone, as I turn out the light.
I'll put his picture down and maybe Get some sleep tonight.

Earthquake & Cyclone

Today, I read the news about this 3 minutes mourning for the people who lost their lives in Sze Chuan, China. I don't know what should I said to the victims, but I can feel that it really sucks big time if one day you go home and you have a hard time recognizing how your home looks like before because what you saw is just a pile of ruins.. while you look at the ruins, you feel that you are damn lucky because you are not buried by the debris. According to the news, there were 5 million of people lost their home, this is really serious. I am glad that during this period, you see a lot of people donated their monies for the unfortunates, at least it shows that most of the people still got a heart to do something good for others.
On the other hand, let's not forget people in Myanma who were suffering from the recent cyclone disaster too, the blardy government still refusing helps from UN and from other countries, the life of the people is worthless to Myanma government, death toll was sky high at 200,000 people. I doubt that the charity donation funds will reach to the people who actually needs help.
While we throw away our left over food, there were people left dying on the other part of the world, I think we should feel thankful on what we have today... may the god(s) bless them...

Nescafe White Coffee

Sometimes I think that this Nestle has almost fully monopolized the coffee machine renting business for most of the companies in Malaysia. Nestle will put a coffee machine in your office so that all the staff can have their choices of Milo, Coffee, White Coffee, Tea for free by just clicking a button.
Recently I have trouble going to sleep, I went to bed like twelve something at midnight, but I can only manage to fall asleep around 2-3am despite I am very tired. When this happened, I will be damn tired at work the other day and I need to consume a cup of white coffee in order to stay awake... so it become like a cycle, at night, I couldn't sleep again because I drank coffee at 3pm, which is the time I was extremely sleepy and start fishing..
For the past two days I tried to stop drinking this Nescafe White Coffee, well, it really work! I can have a better sleep now... My ex is a coffee lover, I always told her not to drink too much coffee because it is not so good for health if a person drank too much; but she told me that if she don't drink coffee, she will feel very sleepy the whole day. I guess nowadays I had become a coffee drinker now, just that I will try to control my consumption before I get addicted to it.
A colleague said that if one day he got diabetes, Nestle is the one who should take the blame, cuz their Milo and White coffee is damn sweet and he drank like at least 1 cup per day.:)

Gallstone Flushing Experiment

I did a Gallstone Flushing Experiment on April 19, after I read a forwarded email from my ex-colleague.. I am not going to go through the detail instruction in here, if you are interested, you can google it and find out the process yourself. You can also find more information in Wikipedia in case you are curious about it. What I want to say is, before I did this experiment, I have consume at least 3-5 small apples, and 1-2 glasses of apple juice per day. Below is my hand written journal records on the final experiment day:

3:20pm: Finished my lunch, very full (chicken rice with extra rice and vegetable soup)

4:45pm: Drank a glass of water with one teaspoon of Epsom salt, taste is not good, I drank a cup of applejuice to wash down the horrible taste.

7:45pm: Drank another teaspoon of Epsom salt with warm water. The taste of the epsom salt water makes me want to vomit. I started to feel hesitant if I want to o for a total of four teaspoon.
Started to feel hungry...

10:45pm: mix Ceres grapefruit juice with olive oil (as shown on pic above). The taste isn't that bad. Olive oil is close to half cup, supposingly I need to have one more teaspoon of Epsom salt but I didn't take it.

11:00pm Brush my teeth and lie down facing right..

The next day:
I went to toilet three times, the first time nothing happens, the second time I can feel that something might had came out, too bad I was using the public toilet at that time, it was 'Indian style', so everything went directly to the hole and I can't see the result. But I think I manage to dump some small gallstone out.. I would say the size of my last finger's nail.

In conclusion, I think no harm trying it once in a long long while to clear the gallstone in our gall bladder, everybody has gallstones, just the matter of big or small, a lot of just a little. If you ask me if I am going to do it again next month? My answer will be , "Hell NO!!". Another guy who had done this before is Alfred Tan, may be you can check with him too, he done it with the combination of acupuncture somemore.. Hahhahah

During heavy rain, sometimes you get to see waterfall inside Ericsson, water pouring down from the roof, the coffin shaped building with contemporary design cannot handle the heavy downpour, rain water leak into the building through the gaps between glasses..

Beijing Olympic 2008

My ex-colleague purposely send me the link to this photo, I guess you can tell why. She signed her name on the banner and it was on the newspaper. See if you can find the name "范文辉"? :)

Team Building..... again at Cyberjaya Community Center

We had like one day off playing games in Cyberjaya Community Center that day, the second lady at the front with flowery jeans is my boss from Singapore.

Rise of living cost

My aunt came back from US for a two weeks vacation, she was telling me that the cheapest gasoline in Oakland cost USD4.00/gallon now, compare to around 1.89/gallon about five years ago. She said that things like rice, eggs, milk all had gone up for more than 20% since I left. Part of the reason is also because of the weakening USD, but somehow I do think that the US government purposely did that. Two simple reasons are: 1. Crude oil was sell in USD. 2. Trade activities with China need to be balanced, if RMB doesn't appreciate at the pace as the US government want, they shrink their own currency value.... Well... it is just a simple thoughts of mine, I am not good in economics. :)

Let's send the Altantuya murderers to hell ~ written by Raja Petra

This is the article that Raja Petra posted onto his blog which leads him to jail...

Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell

Posted by Raja Petra
Friday, 25 April 2008
Today, we shall not be talking about politics. We shall also not be talking about race or religion. Today, we shall talk about doing the human thing. Today, let’s discuss how to launch a ‘Justice for Altantuya: restore Malaysia’s dignity’ campaign. And let’s send those bastards who murdered Altantuya to hell where they belong.NO HOLDS BARREDRaja Petra Kamarudin
I had dinner with a few friends last night and on the way to the restaurant another good friend, Din Merican, phoned to fill me in on the details of Dr Setev Shaariibuu’s press conference that was held earlier that day. I listened as Din filled me in on what transpired and could not help but blurt out, “I am a father of two daughters. I can imagine what Shaariibuu must be feeling. Fucking assholes!”“I have three daughters,” Din responded. “These people are animals, bloody animals. Fuck them! Fuck them!” This is what I would call ‘at a loss for words’ -- and when you just have to say something but no words can fully describe how you feel, then ‘fuck’ is the only word you can use which will console you enough and make you feel you have expressed your anger and disgust in a most ‘appropriate’ manner.“Hey, don’t insult animals,” I replied. “Animals are cute. I love cats, dogs and horses. These people are worse than animals. Even animals will not do something like this.”“Even pigs can be cute,” my wife who was driving the car butted in and I repeated what she said. “Yes, even pigs are cute. These people are not even the same level as pigs. They are lower than pigs. Melayu babi, the whole lot of them.”I found it very difficult to hold back my tears as Din continued with his narration of what Dr Shaariibuu said at his press conference. Yes, I am a very emotional person as many may have suspected by now. But I can also be very stubborn and stiff-lipped as well when facing an adversary, as the Special Branch officers from Bukit Aman have discovered. I am what the Malays would call ‘marah nyamuk, bakar kelambu’. And I would not hesitate to deny my body food and water as an act of defiance just to prove to my jailors that they may incarcerate my body but they can never own my mind or break my spirit. But hearing what Dr Shaariibuu had to say ‘broke’ me. Even my degil got tamed.“Let’s bring these bastards down,” I told Din. “Let’s launch a ‘Justice for Altanatuya: restore Malaysia’s dignity’ campaign’ or something like that. These assholes must be sent to hell.”Understandably, much of the dinner conversation thereafter was focused on the Altantuya murder. What was most amusing -- not that I would classify this tragic murder as ‘amusing’ -- is that none at the dinner table are lawyers by profession. But all were able to skilfully ‘argue their case’ as any seasoned lawyer with decades of litigation experience under his or her belt can -- or maybe even better than that because not all lawyers are smart (trust me on this one). I always say you need brains to become a lawyer but you do not need to be a lawyer to have brains.Sure, ‘certified’ lawyers would pooh-pooh such ‘coffee shop’ arguments as just that, coffee shop arguments. And have we not overheard and scoffed at many an ‘expert’ at the next table offering his or her legal prognosis to all and sundry who would care to listen? Yes, opinions are like assholes -- everybody has one.But there are opinions and there are opinions -- and, just like assholes, no two are alike. So, while we value the expert opinions of our ‘learned’ legal eagles (yes, that is what they call each other in court even though they may be arguing -- how civil), we too have conducted our own trial by court of public opinion and we have already arrived at our verdict even while the Altantuya murder trial is halfway through and long before we can see the end of what many consider a show-trial in a kangaroo court.Of course, we are not at liberty to say this as this may tantamount to subjudice or contempt of court or something like that (the courts have all sorts of fancy words and phrases to throw at you when they want to send you to jail whenever you differ with their opinion). So I would never dare state that the Altantuya murder trial ‘a show trial in a kangaroo court’ for fear of getting sent to jail. All I am at liberty to say is that many consider the Altantuya murder trial a show-trial in a kangaroo court and leave it at that without declaring whether I too share the opinion of the majority of Malaysians (not sure whether that statement can still get me sent to jail).Anyway, back to the dinner last night and to what all those ‘self-made lawyers’ who never argued even one case in court their entire life had to say. As I said, neither they nor I am a lawyer but I have attended a decade of trials and hearings since the birth of Reformasi in 1998 and my ‘practical experience’ has exposed me to much of what goes on in court. And all I can say is that, and I repeat, while you need brains to become a lawyer, you really do not need to be a lawyer to have brains, as my dinner friends proved last night. It was a long dinner and much was discussed and everyone had an opinion plus, as I said, all skilfully ‘argued their case’. However, to avoid this piece turning into a fifty-page thesis, which may see me getting an honorary law degree (or see me getting sent to jail), allow me to summarise how the ‘case’ was argued last night.First concerns the Affidavit that Razak Baginda submitted to the court during his bail application hearing in the Shah Alam High Court. Justice Segera had initially cautioned Razak’s lawyer that there was no necessity in submitting an Affidavit since it was only a bail application hearing and, anyway, bail is not allowed in murder cases. But the lawyer insisted in pursuing the matter in spite of repeated warnings from the Judge. So the Judge had no choice but to accept the Affidavit as it is the right of the accused to defend himself/herself the way he/she sees fit.Justice Segera then read the Affidavit and remarked that, after reading it, he is even more convinced that Razak is guilty. How then to grant bail, notwithstanding the fact that bail should automatically be denied anyway in cases of murder? Justice Segera was then immediately removed from hearing the case and was replaced by a junior judicial commissioner.Note that Justice Segera is a senior Judge and the most suited to hear this very controversial and high-profile case. Was he removed because he had prejudged the case or because he was now privy to certain information that may influence his decision or because they want to ‘kill’ the Affidavit? This was the first bone of contention. Karpal Singh, who is holding a watching brief on behalf of Altantuya’s family, then raised this matter during the trial and he asked the police officer on the stand as to why they did not investigate the Affidavit since much has been revealed in that document. The police officer replied that they did not investigate the Affidavit because ‘tidak ada arahan dari atas’ (so instructions from the top). This further enhances the belief that there is some very damaging evidence in that Affidavit and which the government is trying to hide. The fact that the Affidavit exists and Karpal raised the matter in court and the police did not deny it -- other than explain they did not investigate it because of no instructions from the top -- convinces most that something is amiss here.It seems the Affidavit also reveals that Altantuya was camped outside Razak’s house and this caused him to panic. He then went running to Najib, and Rosmah summoned Najib’s ADC, Musa Safri, and instructed him to solve Razak’s problem. Musa then summoned the two police officers currently on trial. So, it appears like Razak and the two police officers are not the only ones involved. Najib, Rosmah and Musa have also been implicated in this entire thing. And why the need for the police officer to declare that he had already killed six people before this if murder was not what was on everyone’s mind? Then the Attorney-General did a very strange thing. Just before the trial started, he made a public announcement that only three people and no others are involved in the murder. This is not only strange but highly irregular as well. It is not the Attorney-General’s job to determine this. This is for the court to decide. Furthermore, the trial had not even started yet so how does the Attorney-General know what is going to surface in the trial? No one has testified yet and until all the testimonies are heard who knows who else is involved and whether the three accused who on trial are even guilty or not? The Attorney-General made it appear like he knows the outcome of the trial even before the trail commenced? How not to feel that the trial is a show-trial?The Sunday morning before the trial was supposed to start, I received a SMS that said the charges against Razak would be withdrawn. At 4.00pm, I received another SMS saying that the entire team of prosecutors will be replaced because they did not agree to drop the charges against Razak. The following morning, the new prosecutor requested a one-month postponement on the excuse that he had just that very morning been told he is taking over the case so he needs time to study the files. The judge gave them a two-week postponement. The SMS may have been inaccurate but the actions thereafter lent credence to the SMS. And this SMS was from a Deep Throat in the Attorney-General’s Chambers so I am not about to just dismiss it as lies and slander. The next point is about where Altantuya’s remains were found, which was deep in the jungles. The three accused deny killing Altantuya yet the police knew exactly where to go to look for the remains. How did the police know where to go when the three denied killing her? Did they use a bomoh? Was there an informer? No, the police just happen to know that deep in the jungles they would find Altantuya’s remains without anyone having to tell them.It makes one wonder whether the police knew where to go because it is a ‘gazetted dumpsite’ where all ‘bumped off’ people are disposed. Does this then mean that the two police officers on trial alongside Razak are police hit men whose job it is to bump people off and then get rid of their bodies at that site where they retrieved Altantuya’s remains? This, of course, remains mere speculation but there is certainly cause for speculation and the evidence all seem to point to this assumption. The whispering amongst those who walk in the corridors of power is that when they went to the ‘dump site’ they retrieved the remains of many others as well. Some say it was the remains of seven people and others say nine. So Altantuya was not the first. There were many others before this, almost ten judging by the remains. This, of course, has never been made public and probably never will. So, until it is, we must assume that the ‘whispering’ is unfounded. But then, what about Razak’s Affidavit we talked about earlier, which stated that the police officer had admitted to killing six people before this. This would then make Altantuya the seventh victim. Against this backdrop, the ‘whispering’ about the police retrieving the remains of seven or nine people begins to sound like very loud whispers. Many other ‘key issues’ raised by my non-lawyer friends, who all argued as if they were conducting the Altantuya murder trial, were matters such as how Altantuya’s immigration records could be erased from the Immigration computers, the letters Najib wrote to the Malaysian embassy supporting Altantuya’s visa application, the photograph of Altantuya, Najib, Razak and Kalimullah taken during Altantuya’s birthday party in the Mandarin Hotel in Singapore, and much more.Rumour has it, and it remains just that, a rumour, is that all this ‘evidence’ has been given to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Okay, maybe Abdullah is using this information to keep Najib in line -- which appears to be working seeing that he is constantly licking Abdullah’s hand. But this is not about politics and should not be dealt as such. This is about the Prime Minister of Malaysia withholding crucial evidence in a murder trial. Abdullah is an accessory to murder and burying evidence that will affect the outcome of the trial and interfere in seeing justice done renders Abdullah as guilty as those currently on trial and those who also should be on trial but are not.I really wish I could write about all the above which was discussed by those at the dinner table last night. Unfortunately, since the trial is still ongoing, I will not be able to talk about any of these matters. The best I can do is relate what those at the dinner table discussed last night and leave it at that without giving my opinion. And the above is what was discussed by those who are not lawyers and never once in their lives argued any case in court.Of course, since all these people are not lawyers, most of what they said is based purely on logic and not on points of law. It is actually quite ridiculous that people not tutored in matters of law would attempt to dissect and analyse the Altantuya murder trial and pass judgement as if they are trained and certified lawyers. Anyway, as I said, opinions are like assholes and every one has one so we should not take too much notice of what my dinner friends said last night. Meanwhile, read what my friend, Din Merican, e-mailed to me this morning:
******************************************
In ancient times, nations go to war at the slightest provocation. In the 21st century, fortunately, we are more civilised than our progenitors, although there are still exceptions. After all, we are members of the United Nations and, I am told, we subscribe to the UN Declaration on Human Rights. Yet, we in Malaysia, treat foreign nationals with total disregard for compassion and human decency. Are we a bunch of cynics? I wonder.Take the case of the beating-up of the Indonesian karate/judo coach and the brutality towards, and extortion of, Indonesian guest workers by Rela, the murder of a Mongolian national, etc. Is the way we deal with our neighbours and other nation states? I wonder whether we are a nation of laws or a country run on the basis of the law of the jungle. Our Prime Minister, Badawi, and his Foreign Minister (at that time Syed Hamid) did not have the courtesy to reply to the letters from their counterparts in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, seeking a fair trial and justice for the family of the late Altantyua Shaariibuu. Too busy maybe? Surely not!It is going to be tragic for Malaysia’s image if the Altantuya family cannot get justice for the brutal murder of their loved one. How can we blow to smithereens a human being, someone’s loved one, and a mother to two young children, using an explosive which is only utilised in times of war to destroy bunkers, bridges and buildings? This is unheard off anywhere in the world. This case, therefore, has a lot of international implications, especially when the deed was done by ‘servants’ of this country. We are being viewed as arrogant by the Indonesians, Thais, Singaporeans, as well as by many of our neighbours. Now, we add to this list the Mongolians. How indecent and irresponsible of the PM and his Foreign Minister for not even acknowledging the receipt of letters from their Mongolian counterparts. Who are we protecting? There is no point in Badawi trying to convince us that his Administration is keen to restore the image of the judiciary. He cannot even fix his own Police Force and the AG’s Office. Frankly, Malaysians should have sent Badawi and his cohorts in BN out of office in the last general election. The mainstream media is just hopeless in the cause of justice for Altantuya and dignity for Malaysia. Malaysians and civil society movements must now pressure the Badawi government to expose the real culprit behind this murder and bring to closure this long and costly trial. Let justice prevail and let us put an end to the culture of impunity, where the powerful and politically connected are above the Law.As a father of six kids (of whom three are girls, including a 16-year old) and a grandfather, I feel for Dr. Setev Shaariibuu and his family. I was at the press conference on April 24 at the Office of Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim and I personally saw the agony on Dr. Shaariibuu’s face.It is time for Malaysians to push this issue and not allow the murderers who walk in the corridors of power to get away with this vile and evil deed unscathed. It is time to ‘storm the Bastille’. It is time we sent these sorry excuses for human beings to hell where they deserve to be.

Man on crossroad

Somehow someday we will reach several crossroads in of our life, for instance, changing jobs, changing career, decision on business, relationship, investment, migrate or not migrate, etc.. You won't know whether you are heading to the right path, and you fear that you will choose the wrong one. How many mistakes can we afford to make in our life? Sometimes when I can't make a judgement, I flip a coin, the coin will help me to make a decision. There is one time I flip a coin whether I should call back the employer and ask about my job application status, well, the coin 'told' me that I should, so I called in... Later on, I did get my job offer after making such a call.

Soy Milk and Cow Milk

Just now I went to Giant Market and get some groceries. I notice that the price of cow milk has increased like 10% compare to 2-3 months ago. I don't know why but it seems that the price difference between cow milk and soya milk is getting bigger. Base on my last year observation, the price of soya milk and cow milk is very close to each other back then; but now the gap is getting bigger and bigger, soy milk seems relatively cheaper now.
A Taiwanese friend of mine was telling me that cow milk is for cow, according to what she said, cow milk is not so suitable for human being, milk producer just exaggerately claimed that milk is good for bones this and that but in fact it is just drain the bones faster, thus, it is better to drink soy milk. She even forward the email to me. Well, due to this reason, I bought four 1-litre packet of Soy milk. But then, my friend also warned me not to drink too much soy milk or else it will cause pain to the joint. So I can only drink it once in a while instead of everyday.

Smile from the heart

Sometimes I think little kids are so cute because they smile from their heart, they don't fake it, they don't hide their sadness or happiness like adults. They are so naive, pure and that makes them very lovely...

"Thanksgiving Dinner" organized by the DAP

Hannah Yeoh (hannahyeoh.blogspot.com), there is an imperfection of this pic, my belt went offward a bit due to the place is too crowded when I try to get in and out from my table. Anyway, I had the photo touch up a bit with my paintbrush. :)
Hannah Yeoh giving her speech on the stage.

The traffic is really jammed up today, I left office around 6:30pm and only manage to reach my home at 8pm. I put my backpack on the sofa and quicky ran to bathroom to take a leak. After that, I rush to the DAP Thanksgiving dinner which is scheduled to start at 8pm.

I reached there around 9pm, the whole "Pantai Seafood Restaurant" was like fully booked by the DAP today. I have a hard time locating any parking spaces. Anyway, when I reached there, a kind lady just locate me to a table, I manage to sit down and luckily the meal has not started yet. Sitting on the left side of me is a young DAP member who offered his help to hand out flyers before election day; on my right side is a guy which looks very familar, later on I found out that he is one of the bosses of a hardware store near my neightborhood. The whole table are basically guys from 70 to 25 who love to chat with politics.

The dinner ended around 11pm, get to meet up with some Assembly woman and "Yang Berhormat" (The respected), I approached Lau Weng San after the dinner and offered my humble service to him as promised. I hand over him my card and tell him I would like to serve him, I told him that he doesn't have to offer me a City Council post or what (but if he did, I don't mind too, cuz it will be Rm500 per month on allowance to attend meeting twice a week. :)), I told him that I am just offering my help to him if he need me, I hope I can participate in helping the developement of the city and I am willing to do it for free, I will be honored if he is taking me as one of his "think tank" members. I am sending him my resume after this.

I love to read story like "The Water Margin", people like me will stand up as one of the 108 bandit heroes if there is any injustice in the society.

Davidoff's Coolwater

I got a few collection of fragrance with me:
1. Davidoff Coolwater 75ml(A Chinese girl helped me bought this fragrance 10 yrs ago, while I was working as a Waiter with some Mainland Chinese colleagues in Madison, Wisconsin.)
2. Gucci Envy (a sample which my friend gave it to me after I give him a NIKE T-shirt as a gift)
3. Christian Dior Farenheit (I like the smell sample which I got it from a magazine)
4. CK Truth (A gift set together with a deodorant from US colleagues when I plan to move back to Malaysia. I sold it to my bro-in-law last year because I don't like the smell)
5. A newly bought Montblanc Skywalker (heard it is a new release last year and I love the smell)

Well, after ten years of usage, I finally manage to finish the 75ml Coolwater which I bought 10 yrs ago. Someone might be curious to know if the smell is still there. Well, I can tell you the answer is positive! Now I look forward to finish of the rest of my collection. Farenheit will be next! I start to remind myself to apply some fragrance everyday before I go to work or else I won't be able to finish them, this will leads to - "I can't buy new "smell"!"

The reason that I want to put up this post is because a friend of mine text me last night and commented that my fragrance smells great. She want to know if is a Polo I am wearing. Well, I told her it is a CD Farenheit. (Never bought any Polo fragrance before) ;). For the guys out there who is reading this post, may be you can check out this fragrance, who knows your gf/ex-gf/wife/ex wife/mistress/ex-mistress/sisters/mother, etc. will like it. I was wondering the CD fragrance I got is already 8-9 years old, perhaps it is not the smell because the smell could have changed a bit after such a long time, may be it is my natural "Pheromones" that she smells. Just kidding...:)

A DAP polling agent

I signed up my name as a DAP polling agent (opposition party) voluntarily when I attended their "Ceramah" few days ago. Well, you see, if you work for the Opposition Party, it "sucks", because you don't get pay, BN pay me RM50 for petrol by sending people to the polling area four years ago, I greatly accepted the task, I don't have much care on Politics that time. This time, I do it for DAP, FOC! I even donate some money to them so they can fund the election. Sadly speaking, our Opposition party relies very much on donation when it comes to election, they are not like the BN political party, who can give away "red packets", free dinner, freebies at our own expenses - Tax money.
Well, as a polling agent, I get to participate in the historical moment, I was on the spot with a BN agent, who get pays like Rm100-200, we have to sit there and look at people doing the counting on votes. I tell you, the feeling is like watching those movies like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", my heart pounded everytime they say out "BN", I get some relief if is a "DAP" vote. When four tickets were "BN", my heart pound harder and faster. This is how it feels when you are a polling agent. Also, if you feel that the ticket should belongs to DAP, you have the right to say "Objection", so that you can argue with the BN agent whether the ticket should be counted as your own Party's ticket. Luckily, the room that I went only have 243 votes, the result of the votes for Parliment and States, DAP is on the lead with 12x and 11x, 10-20% lead, it is still not save yet because it is not a big margin win, but I see a new hope when other rooms came out with good news. The DAP won the Parliment seats in big majority and my neighborhood will take over by Tony Phua and his members.

A New Hope for the People of Malaysia

Since when our country has become so screw up by the UMNO-led government - BN? We have even more-than-ever-open-corruption cases everyday, and the big fish never get caught, even if is caught, they will be release due to insufficient evidence; we have a Chief Justice that can be bribed, ladies and girls are very afraid of being one of the rape victim, then we have high inflation in the country, the low income earners suffer badly, and much more. But still, these robbers barons keep on exploiting our nation's wealth to fat their own pockets. Sad to say, this has become even worse when our Pak Lah, who is always sleepy, took over the country.
Well, this time, the wind has changed, the silence majority has awaken... while our BN keep on harping what they have achieved in the past 40 years, there is a wave of Tsunami, forming in nowhere, and this time, it really hits the arrogant BN big time. They have lost 5 states which include Selangor, which is one of the most critical to them. This is because there are a lot of $$$ opportunity in Selangor, we have Port Klang, we have large amount of tax payers, we have a lot of "on going" projects, waiting to be approved, etc. And unfortunately, the state of Selangor has lost to the opposition. I am so glad that Tony Phua, our State rep has won. I told my mom that I am going to serve under him for the sake of the people in Selangor if he is elected. Fortunately, he did.
Today, I woke up with a smiley face and I almost cry when I saw the news that the Opposition hits BN badly this time, seeing that BN has lost their 2/3 majority. And I am sure that most of the people are very happy that they had slapped BN hard on his face. I said to myself, if BN still make a big win this time, I have plans for migration, but luckily, today March 8th, we see a new hope for the people of Malaysia. My friend told me that he feel like staying in a new country already, as a regular Tom, Dick and Harry, who else doesn't feel the same? :)

Dining in Jake's Charbroil Steak

Finally I got a chance to try out this steakhouse that I want to go for a long time, the best steak that I tried so far is the House of Prime Ribs Located at Van Ness Ave, SF. http://houseofprimerib.ypguides.net/, so far I haven't came across any steakhouse that can beat House of Prime Rib.
According to one of my friend, she said that someone told her that this steakhouse is pretty good, so I went there and try it out. The restaurant name is called "Jake's Charbroil Steak" located in 21, Jalan Setiapuspa, Medan Damansara, I ordered a medium cooked Australian Corn Fed Sirloin steak, Ox tail soup and a star fruit juice, the total damage is Rm77+ per pax. Taste wise is better than Victoria Station, value wise I think I can get something similar or may be bigger portion at TGI, the ox-tail soup was really dellicious! Somehow it still can't beat the steak at House of Prime Ribs, thus, my search for the best steak will continue. :)
