Cameron Trip 1 (Photos from Luqman)

Look at how dirty is our shoes and boots.

Remember the telco tower is our starting point?

They said the trees looks like the one in Lord of the Rings.

Due to it is hard for sunlight to penetrate into the woods, the ground is very wet and moist.

Perfect living condition for moss.
It was really a long hike. We started from 10:45am, when I reach the final point it is already 4:38pm, include lunch and resting time.

Some old trees that were wrapped with moss.

The telco towers - Our starting point.
We paid RM50 extra each to rent out these very old Land Rovers to take us to the hill.

Gunung Irau (Photos from Kwong)

Ok... my shots are pretty amateur....
Halfway I have to clean my boot with the help of the moss, cuz I accidentally steped on the mud.
The distance looks short, but that is another 100 minutes journey ahead.

I think this is funny... I name this photo: "When the Hobbits found the Shire".
Everyone pose for the photos.

白撞? That is a very funny way to use it for the sign board.

Took this two photos early in the morning, cuz I am the first one reaching the hilltop, we stopped there for 15 minutes waiting for others. The shocks and springs which I mod to my car really good at tackling winding road. So I was able to drive my car spiritually when we are going uphill. Hehehehe

'Infernal Affairs' in MACC HQ

Last seen on photo, the guy on the right (Teo Beng Hock) before he is heading to MACC (Malaysian Anti Corruption Crap, aka running dog for BN government) to assist on some investigation..
On 1:30pm, someone found his dead body in MACC HQ... Please, don't tell me he fell off from the building by accident, don't tell me he committed suicide as he suppose to get marry on this Friday. And also please, don't tell me some crap that he scared of being charged, so he jump off from the building. I mean, this is not a 'Malaysian style', because Malaysians are kiasi and they rather spend a few years in jail than killing themselves if proven guilty. Remember, this innocent guy went to MACC to assist on an investigation, so he didn't do any wrong.
You farkers (MACC) better explain yourself!!!! I am joining the protest/vigil at your HQ on Friday night!

Memories of Utah State University

Saw someone joined the group of Utah State University in facebook, so I click on it and discovered some pictures that bring me back to time for 13 years. During that time, there aren't any digital cameras, and Intel just introduced Pentium PCs and our school already using it in the labs, where as my friend is still using 486 machine in UK.My uni is located at a town called, Logan. It is just half an hour drive to Idaho state, where you can eat one of the best produced potatoes in Idaho.
This is the 'Old Main' Building, first USU building since 1888, I hope I didn't mixed up the years with other watch makers.

Another view of the Uni. The institution provide shuttle bus that travels around the campus, I still remember phone call around Logan are free. You can chit chat with your friend on the phone as long as you want. That is how I learn to become I good listener, where some 'broken hearts' called you earlier in the morning to complain about their relationships and some share with you on their achievements.

Old Main building during winter time. It is a torture when you have a class at 8am. It is very hard to wake up in such a nice cooling weather. I try not to turn on the heater because my skin will get itchy. However, some Malaysians turn on the heater like no tomorrow, you feel like walking into an oven whenever you enter their room. I guess they want to make their dorm 'feels like home'. Back to the 8am thingy, I want to confess that I have been skipping quite a number of Marketing course during my uni days because it fell on 8am class during winter time. One day, I went to the class, and then you know what I found out? The class which I attend was the last class of the semester, which I never know...Anyway, I scored a 'B' for my marketing subject, I think I could have done it better if I attend classes because some of the answers in the exams are from the lecture. You won't be able to find it in your text book unless you attend the class.
Look at the hill! You can ski during the winter, just 20-30 minutes drive from the campus. It is the view that makes me choose USU for my tertiary education. Of course, I will never make it without my father's sponsorship. It is the greatest gift which he had ever gave me - Education. I proudly told my friends and colleagues that whatever he had sponsored me before, I had make the money back before I return to my home country. But of course, I can only pay him back via interest, not the principal. -_-

Hmmm... if I am not mistaken, those International Student who doesn't mean the English requirement will spend a quarter in this building. I never spent a quarter here, that's why I forgot what building is this. :p

The USU students call themselves Aggies, the bull is like a animal symbol for USU.

If I am not mistaken, the bull statue comes with a artificial dick too... good thing is, the dick never shrinks no matter the weather is warm or cold.

I guess this is during spring time, crossing the field takes time. With my walking speed, I think it takes more than 5 minutes from one end to the other end.
I know there are walking trails prepared for me, but usually I prefer to walk over the grasses. Reason? It can prolong the lifespan for my Nike Air, especially the thread of the shoes.

Okay, here are some Aggie chicks with blonde and brunette hair. The capital city of Utah State is Salt Lake City, it was named the 'Whitest City' in the US. Even a lot of football players are white, that is why you look at the photo, it doesn't give you any feel of a 'melting pot' even though you move your focus out of the 5 girls. Don't be surprise if 2 out of 5 girls on the picture are married. They married quite young, we used to have a debate why Mormons get married so young? The main conclusion that we found out is - Mormons can't have pre-marital sex. It is just a debate, or your can call it a 'intellectual discussion', you can always challenge our assumption.

This is the stadium that I watched my first and last live American football competition. That day we are challenging our strong competitor - BYU. Unfortunately, USU was smacked even though we possess the home court advantage.

Really missed my Uni life. When I look back, I feel like I missed out a lot of things in my Uni life. Of course, I also gain a lot of things in return...

A kind warning

I think someone's rims might be stolen by some thieve(s), till the owner sprayed such a message near Taman Paramount station to warn others. I am quite worry after I parked my car there, image if the blardy thief steal one rim out of my car, I figure out my damage will be around RM600 per piece even I am not using any expensive rims. Not to mention the troublesome that I have to go through. I love to park in this area because I hate paying parking fees, imagine they charge you RM3 on open parking even on Sunday! May be I get used to the days in USA where most of the parkings are free except you park at downtown area such as San Francisco. But now, I think I might have to pay RM3 in exchange for a peace of mind till I put on a anti-theft wheel nut.

Stock springs
with Eibach Springs
During weekend, I bought a full set of used Eibach progressive springs and put it in my car. The owner paid more than Rm800 for it. Now I paid him RM280 to buy his 2 yrs old spring with Rm100 installation at the workshop. I am curious why the coil springs can be so expensive despite it is from Germany.

Well, after installing the springs, I would say the handling and cornering ability slightly improved, you can feel the car is more stick to the road. The sound of going over road bumps at the front has been totally eliminated. The best part is, the springs really makes the car looks sportier. It is not too low but just nice. Check out the photo. :)
Oh ya, I also pay Rm50 for the wheel lock.

You know the warning sign from the top that says, "Check your rims and tyres?" The owner doesn't mean you should check if your rims are still there, because it is so obvious, once the rims are stolen, you will see your car sitting on the bricks, so you don't need to check at all. What the message means is, do check the lug nuts, make sure it is tightly locked, this is because when the thief wanted to steal your rims, he might unscrew 1 or 2 nuts, and when he came to your wheel lock which has different opening that requires different tools to open it, then they might let go your car because it is too troublesome to steal your rims. When this happened, the nuts that already loosen for one the thief has done, you can't expect them to screw it back for you. So it is better you check if the nuts are tightly locked before you speed on highway. I really appreciate this victim for putting up such a warning sign.

I was telling myself, if someone did stole my rims, then he better be careful, because I will park my car there again, but this time, I am setting up an ambush for him. Will bring along extra friends with iron pipes or machetes, just in case. I will whack him from the back while he is busy unscrewing the wheel nuts!

Swedish Stamp

Have you seen any postage stamps from Sweden before? Well, this is the first time I am seeing some, look at the stamps and it doesn't says anything about "Sweden". But there is a word that spells "Sverige".
