Ratatoulie Episode I

Attached is the last picture which I took for this rat, when I said 'last picture' means I am going to send the rat to sleep... forever.. Sorry to say that I have no mercy to the pest like flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches and rats... lizard is still tolerable and I think you agree with me that it doesn't fall under "Pest category" YET.
It happens sometimes before Chinese New Year, where my mom took out four chinese sausages and put it on the counter top near the washing basin. After half an hour, she came downstairs and plan to heat up the sausages. Guess what? She notice one sausage is missing! Once in a while, I also notice the gardenia plastic bag was opened, finally one day I saw this rat ran across the floor in the kitchen and hid itself behind the oven, immediately, I know I got a job to do.
The first night you won't get to catch the rat, cuz he got the chinese sausage that last him for 1-2 days. So on the third day, I prepare a nice bait for the rat - A burnt squid! I want to use the aroma coming out from the squid to attract the rat, my mom thought me this trick... but I tell you, due to I didn't install the trap correctly, the cunning rat manage to grab the squid and came out from the cage.
So the second day, I use the same bait again.... then on the other morning, my mom woke me up and told me that I have capture the rat.... to cut the story short, I boiled some hot water.... take the above photos and let the rat take some hot bath... , after terminating the rat, I don't feel easy too cuz I just killed it, perhaps the rat is a mammal. I can only say, "may the rat rest in peace".

'Increase Sales' after Petrol Price Hike

I just came back from Giant about half an hour ago, it was full of people... It makes you feel like it is going to be Chinese New Year very soon because people are grabbing stuff like no tomorrow, from oil to rice, soya sauce to tomato sauce, etc... Everyone afraid of one thing - 'INFLATION!'.
With our cash on hand right now, you tend to get more stuff, after 2-3 months, you won't get what you can get today with your RM100 bill. I really doubt the government figure, which they said the inflation is only 5%, I wonder how they come out with such a figure.
My sister ask me to get two tins of milk powder for her 3 yrs old daughter, and then after I reach home, she told me that she should have ask me to get some diapers and other stuff for her incoming baby. I agree with her that it is a good idea to stockpile some baby stuff for now...

Fuel Hike Protest

Read the online newspaper that there is going to be a mass protest on fuel hike on 12th of July. I think I am going to bring my camera along and check it out.
Seriously, I can feel the pain of the low income earner, it is not that easy to survive in the city with low income, so I am going to stand out for the protest. Don't think I have nothing to do in the weekend, the chain reaction of fuel hike shall not be underestimated.

"Life is short, enjoy your life!"

That day I was driving my aunt to airport early in the morning. As usual, she was asking me when I plan to get marry and stuff. Then she was telling me that this ugly looking 40+ years old guy had pay "x" amount of money keeping a young and pretty chinese mistress, this and that. Basically she want to tell me that this guy was happy with what he did, at least he get to enjoy his life without much regrets, do something he want to do in his life. The last thing I can clearly remember is that she told me that "our life is short, just enjoy your life!"
After I went home and took a nap, I woke up and what my aunt said earlier keep on stirring my mind... It reminds me of what happened to a friend of mine...
This friend of mine got a pursuer, and she likes my friend more than he likes her.The girl is a teacher and also a Christian. My friend 'complained' to me that this girl keep on asking him to go to church with her, he told me he feels a bit annoyed, and he is very reluctant to go. For me, I think my fren doesn't like the girl that much, that is why he don't feel that going to church with her is not a fun thing to do, by pushing him to church will only make things worse.
For me, I don't see what is the big deal here? Even my friend is not a Christian, so what? Everybody has their own belief, my Malaysia boss is a Swedish guy that married a Malay girl, but sometimes me and my colleagues still see him eating pork, we are very curious if he is Muslim or Christian now because in Malaysia, you becomes a Muslim automatically if you marry one. Well, at least his wife doesn't force him not to eat pork or kick him to a mosque. I don't think I can become a Muslim, because I still enjoy my Bak Kut Teh and once in a while I want to drink some wine as I like and I will pay a visit to the Toto lottery shop.
Based on what my friend told me, you got to be a Christian to marry a Christian so both can meet in heaven after life. To me, who cares? Nobody knows where you will be after we passed away, you talk about heaven and hell? We don't even know if it exist or not after we are dead. Have anyone seen it? Even there is heaven and hell, with today's technology, I believe you can call up the corrupted government servant in hell and say "hi" to him while you are sitting in heaven or eden garden.
I have read news which a couple was stoned to death just because the Muslim girl fall in love with a Christian guy, what is wrong with that? They just treasure each other and they want to be with each other, why these people stop them from loving each other? Love is not a crime anyway? Isn't it better to have more love than hatred? Life is short, dude!
In my daily life, I have seen cases where Christian married a Buddhist or vice versa, I didn't see what is the problem? For me, I don't mind to marry a Muslim too, just that we have this very strict and bias law in Malaysia that make things difficult. If you are a Muslim, basically you are consider breaking the ties with your family and community already. Anyway, my friend had call it a quit with the teacher, guess he prefer to play with jotsticks rather than singing 'Amen' every Sunday.
Let see.... if I marry a Muslim, I don't mind if she want to wear a "tudung" or not, if she think she looks cool without tudung, fine with me. If not, I still think she looks cute with tudung. Of course I will respect her and I am totally OK if she never cook any pork and I won't eat pork in front of her, might probably cut down on pork consumption too cuz I am never a fan of pork, I always prefer mutton. Also, eventhough I know my rights but I don't think I want to marry four wives even though I think I can manage them (I don't think financially though), cuz I know I will definitely die younger.. hahahah; If I marry a Christian, I don't mind to wake up earlier on every Sunday and drop her to church if she feels like going to church, just give me a ring and I will go and fetch her after she is done. If I died, she don't have to pray with a jotstick if she don't feel like doing it.. 100% no problem, the same apply to the muslim wife. This is what we call 'respect'.
Well, the point that I want to say is related to the title. If you met someone that you love, why let this kind of religious thing hold you down? Does it worth it? For what? If he or she brought up this religious thing, and tell you that because you are not a buddhist, not a christian or a muslim. I guess he or she is just not in to you, period. No point forcing a person to change his or her belief when he or she doesn't believe in it, you got to be a person with your own principle sometimes. You can't force me to become a Muslim legally if deep inside my heart I don't even know how to pray with a Quran.
At the end, I can only repeat the what I said just now, "life is short, enjoy your life!". I am thinking of climbing mount KK while I still can.. Anyone interested?

Petrol Price Hike!

When the crude oil price almost hit 130USD per barrel, the government finally cannot stand it but to declare the increase of petrol price from 1.92/litre to 2.70 litre. When the news releases at 4pm, people are storming to the petrol station. The queue is getting longer and longer and it caused serious traffic jam on highways. It takes me 1 and half hour to reach home today which usually it takes only 30 minutes to reach home with light traffic.
Today, people don't care what brand of Petrol they are going to get, no matter it is Shell, BHP, Esso, Mobil, Caltex, Petronas, etc... they just try to pump whatever they can get in the petrol station, I guess quite a large numbers of petrol station will deplete all their petrol tonight, it really creates a very interesting scene, when you see people queue up for a long line to fill up their petrol tank no matter you are driving a tiny Kancil or a luxury Mercedes, they just want to rush for their final savings on petrol.
The worse is not over yet, I can imagine how the living cost will rise in few months time, I can imagine what kind of chain reaction it will happen after the petrol price hike, I hope the money saved from subsidy will be put in good use. Regular executives and white collars like me also can forsee and feel the pain, you can imagine how's tough is the life of normal workers who need to feed their families.
