Who say Economy is bad?

I always love to check out other people's big house, sometimes you can pick up some interesting ideas from these luxury houses.
My friend brought me to this bungalow in Titiwangsa, due to it is still renovating, that is how we manage to go inside and have a look... The photos are a bit unorganized..

Outside of the house...

Staircase leading to the top floor
Balcony

Interesting part, having a lift B, 1, 2, 3. From basement car park, after you park your Mercedes, you just press number '3' and the lift will take you straight to your masterbed room. A good-to -have feature, don't you think?

This is a good place for gym. Wooden floor has been placed.

potential gym room, big glasses in front of you when you walk your treadmill.

Balcony for you and your friends to chit chat during a party. You will need to wear a bow tie or at least a Batik to attend this kind of 'party'.

The swimming pool water/fish pond leads to the living room.

Big marble tiles for flooring. The ceiling is reserved for crystal chandelier.
Pool with mosaic, it could be a fish pond as it is too small to swim around, but I don't know why blue color mosaic for fish pond.

Note that all glasses doesn't comes with iron bars, because the home owner got a guard house right at the entrance.

Half basketball court for kids

The stainless steel cover ain't cheap!

Hate reversing your cars every morning when you kid's BMW is blocking your Jaguar? Here is the solution: Get a basement car park under your house. The car park can put like 5-6 cars.

Road leading to basement parking, proper drainage was done on it.

A very comfortable house is going to be finish soon. I wonder if 2 mil is sufficient to remodel this house. When salary workers are worrying about their rice bowl, some people still can spent lavishly. Who say economy is bad? Big fat contracts still pouring in for some well connected big bosses. In Malaysia, sometimes it is not what you know, it is who you know!
Okay lah, this is my house....kekekek (in my dream)... The gym room in this bungalow is bigger than my room already!

More defections to come?

http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/16884-more-defections-i-dont-think-so-says-najib
When I heard Mr. Nassarudin crossover to Pakatan Rakyat, I felt like clapping my hands, now BN government has one seat less in the Parliment, smart move for Mr. Nassarudin who is joining the right team, let the UMNO goons to rot by itself! At least there are still some good guys in UMNO that are not tempted by $$$ and personal interests.

UMNO goons has been dominated for over 50 years and the seriousness of corruptions has got into its' core, destroying such a long dominated party is not an easy job. Suddenly there are two ways that I think of taking them down. First one is like attacking the mighty "Death Star". In case you forgot how Luke Skywalker manage to take down the Death Star:
1. You lower down the shields surrounding the Death Stars (If any).
2. Get your fighter ship into the trench, something small and fast like X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings, forget about B-Wings because they will never make it in the trench run due to it is too bulky.
3. Dodge all the TIE fighers, TIE Interceptors, and laser turrets, keep youself alive while you are on your way to the CORE.
4. Fire all torpedoes to the CORE when it is within targeting range.
5. Get the hell out of it!!

Second method, send a Trojan Horse into UMNO like how the Greeks send a Trojan Horse into the city of Troy. Sometimes I wondered is the right hand man of Anwar who went back to join UMNO is actually the Trojan Horse sent by Anwar himself? If you can't take out your opponent in a head-to-head fight, then you will have to send in your probe so it will explode it inside and damage your opponents, or at least, open the gate for your allies. :)

Charlie Yeung look-alike?

During my trip to Melaka few weeks ago, I met a new friend called, "碧兰”(I always forgot the last word of her name, so I am writing it down). She is the Ex of my uni mate, she said she saw me in Utah before,I used to play basketball with her ex back then, but I totally forgot that I have seen her in Utah. Well, I think she is quite a looker cuz she looks a bit like 杨采妮。 Not sure if you agree with me? :)
The real 杨采妮
"山寨版杨采妮“?Hahahah,it is a compliment ok?

I took this photo for her, I should have increase the shutter a bit so it doesn't look so dark.

Tangkak Beef Noodle

The next day after Kyvin's wedding, we went to try out the Tangkak's Beef Noodle.
My review: The soup is a bit salty and I can feel the MSG in it. Value wise is still ok, I give it a 'B-' for the noodle. Throw up at 5am morning due to drank too much of wine, so that might affect my appetite and affect the rating that I gave to them. I think maximum I can give is a 'B'.

I was half drunk already when I took this photo, feel like falling asleep.. Zzzz

Air con Servicing

Today I received a call in Cantonese:
Operator: Hi Mr Choong, would you like to service your air con?
Me: How much will that cost?
Operator: RM40 for 'normal wash', RM100 for 'chemical wash'.
Me: (Inside my heart... Wah... F&$(!*(&@!!)
Calmly I said: Wah, so expensive la, one of my neighbors also wash air con woh.
Operator: (Paused a second) So Mr. Choong, would you like us to wash it for you or you prefer your neighbor to do the job?
Me: Economy is not good now. Both I also don't want la!
Operator: Ok, never mind, thank you ya!
Last year, I received the same call from this company, and I let them service the air con for me, because they told me that they might revise the price later due to the petrol price increase. We have 5 air con at home and that actually cost me more than Rm200 even for a normal cleaning. Reason? You need to top up the gas and that will cost you extra. When it comes to those bigger horse power air con, it will cost you more to wash it.
Ok, now let's do the math... next time if they call me again, I will have to ask them to revise their pricing structure.
Let say they call me again next year, here is what I will tell them:
Operator: Hi Mr. Choong, would you like to service your air con.
Me: How much?
Operator: Rm40 for normal wash, RM100 for chemical wash....
Me: Let me ask you, can you tell me how much is the market rate for a 1 horse power air con?
Operator: I think around RM800?
Me: So if I do 8 times of chemical wash, I could have buy a new air con right?
Operator: Errr...Servicing air con will prolong the life of your air con mah, sir.
Me: By then if my air con died, I just go and install a new air con, why bother servicing it since it is so expensive? I can just do my manual filter wash. The money I save on service will allow me to buy a new air con unit after 8-10 years. I got new feature on my new air con at that time, it comes with latest technology, more power efficient and more powerful ionizer or may be with purifier, etc. Now can you tell me, how does it worth my RM40 on servicing the air con?
I think the pricing structure you guys are charging is not right and it is outdated. Many years ago, air con is a luxury item, I remember at that time, only the master bedroom in my house got air con, sometimes I sleep inside my dad's room because that is the only room with air con. At that time, one 1.5hp air con can cost up to RM2-3k if I am not mistaken, might be a month or two of a executive's salary at that time. Now the air con prices has dropped significantly after 'Made in China' came into picture, so please don't charge ppl RM40 on servicing air con. I think this will gradually turn away more people like me, who prefer to buy a new air con after 8 yrs when the air con broke or doesn't feel cooling anymore. I am not good in math, but this kind of simple calculation I think I can handle it!
Operator: Ok lor, thank you sir.
(you see, I have seen them done a RM40 job before, basically is nothing special, just that you need to know how to open the air con unit and take out the roller, cleaning is a no brainer work, perhaps after cleaning it, you can spray some stuff on it and after you clean it, just put the roller back. You see, I supply the water for them to clean the roller but I don't get a rebate on supplying energy cost. Such a job only takes twenty minutes to thirty minutes max for a newbie. The fair value for this kind of work I would say is RM20. Damn, if I can make Rm80 per hour cleaning air con, I can quit my job now and be a full time air con service agent.
Anyway, I am a person that believes in maintenance, I will still service my air con but I won't do it that frequent.)

The duty of the Brothers

I have told the groom that my price is RM50 if the ladies ask us to drink soya sauce, Rm100 ang pow to eat wasabi. Hahahah.. Or else I just pretend to be the camera man.. Hahahah
The challenge for the 'Brothers' is rather simple... is start with 50 times of push up, 10 times from the groom and the brothers took the balance, how I love it! Sigh... really a simple task, I volunteer to contribute 20 times...

The rest contribute 10 times each.

Then the ladies force us to finish the soft drink. Man... I rather choose to do another 20 times of push up instead of increasing my risk on diabetes. But then, we found a soft drink lover... Chin Keong drank like 50% of the bottle...Gee...

Mission accomplishedGo home and pray for the ancestors.

Kyvin & Cindy's Wedding at Melaka

After a tiring night sleeping at the service apartment, we woke up early and head to house. Reached there around 9am. The Semi-D is only 3 years old, quite cozy inside. :)

While we were waiting for Kyvin, I played with Eryn as she is the only baby girl there... kekeke

Gym plan on 2009

Finally I found a gym partner that is willing to accompany me to the company gym. We will go there every Monday and Thursday, 1 hour session each. :) Half hour allocate to bicycling.

My new cubicle

My new cubicle...
I lost my pretty gal view in exchange of car park view, (my previous seat can see any pretty gals that walk by :p ), I don't like my new place that much because when people walked by the aisle, they can see my computer screen, not much privacy at all. Good thing is finally I get my own cabinet after 1 year.

Accident on LDP highway in Puchong

Reach office around 11am today. The accident involved a mini lorry, a big lorry, Satria and a Mercedes. There were like 20+ 'busy bodies' standing along the road side showing their concerns on the accident. Sometimes I wonder where and how these busy bodies appear in a short time.

Counting the stars of Starbucks

Last night after a group dinner with some old friends, we went for a drink at Starbucks. I am aware that I won't be able to sleep if I have coffee at night. So I avoid anything that comes with 'Latte', 'Espresso' and even 'Mocha'. I place my order on something with 'Caramel' with ice, hopefully there is less caffeine in it. I don't know how to spell the last words, and I order the 'Tall' size. which is the smallest one. (Until now, I still have no idea why the 'tall' size is the smallest one, I think they could make things more simple with standard SML size, may be it has to do with my poor English).

I took my first sip of my caramel drink. Just like usual, I think the taste of Starbucks still doesn't fit into my liking compare to Coffee Bean, it is just my personal preferance okay, I don't want to flame by those "Starbucks Lifestylist". For me, I think there are too much of milk inside the coffee, the milk covers the true aroma of the coffee. I can only salute them on their successful marketing strategy, which makes people think that surfing net (except porn) with your Dell XPS and have your Starbucks in the cafe is like an 'in' thing or some sort of 'lifestyle'.

Anyway, after dropping off my friend, it was 2am when I reached home. I feel a bit fresh so I check out my facebook, and read some online news.

At 4am, I am still very fresh, I try to go to bed but I can't sleep at all... and finally, I fell asleep around 6am!!

Damn, all I can say is, Starbucks is another product that the students can consider, if you don't like the taste of chicken essence, you can consider Starbucks. If the 'tall size' can't keep you awake, try 'grande' or whatever size they called it!

**********

I went home early today, my laptop got some blue screen error and I can't boot up my windows this morning. In the afternoon, I drop my laptop to the HP IT staff and let them fix the problem for me. I won't be back to the office until next Monday, so I let them have my laptop so they can work on it on Friday.
The IT staff ask me what is my password. By right I shouldn't tell him. But then I can't sit with him and wait for them the whole day so they can fix my laptop in front of me. I have no choice but to give away my password. Sigh, my little secret has exposed to him after I gave away my password, it was a name that I use for easy remembering, we got too many passwords to remember, so I just make it simple.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan

The recent air strike from Israel on Gaza Strip is way too much. Innocent civilians and UN officials were killed during the air strikes, such action will increase the hatred between two parties from one generation to another.

If the Israelis' retaliation started like what Israel has claimed - Hamas fire rockets to the south of Israel. Then, I would like to ask why the hell Hamas militants provoke such a fight with Israel?

History has showed that the Israeli's style means if you hit me with a RPG, I am going to drop 10 pcs of 500lbs bomb on you, go and watch "Munich" and you will know. So, you don't mess with Zohan! I don't think either party will stop their fight now due to both sides need to save their face, I won't if I am Hamas militants head or Israel government. Someone will need to be the middle man and ask both sides to cease fire!

On the other hand, there were a group of 500 people demonstrated in front of US embassy yesterday. If I am the ambassador, I will be like, "What the hell?" Is like the neighbor on your left and right are fighting with each other, the neighbor who stay opposite of you demonstrated in front of your house. Hahahaha

One of my colleagues think that such attack might be political motivated as some interest groups are behind such attack so they can push the oil price up by creating war. I think he got a point here.

You better buckle up!

I think our one of our ministers has gone crazy again, I started to curse someone when I saw this headline on the news, it states that if you don't buckle up sitting at the back of the vehicle, you will end up in jail!

Common people like us have common senses, even though a person doesn't buckle up doesn't mean that it is a big offense and he or she deserve to go to jail, may be our jail has only 5% occupancy rate, I have no data on that. I am willing to take a bet of RM100 from anyone (with the max of RM200 on total bet). I bet that the flip flop government will revise the going-to-jail policy when you don't buckle up. Personally, I think it is pretty stupid to put someone into jail if he or she doesn't has the intention or forgot not to buckle up.

Okay, let say if they intend to send some scape-goats into jail by scaring the people, I wonder if our prison has enough space to cater all the offenders? Given our lousy government planning. I think we might have some problem with the jail cell. Perhaps, you will need to take a ticket and wait for your turn before they got a space to lock you up. Or may be, you have to share rooms with other 5 persons, when the cell is design for 2 person only. Then I will foresee some "government-linked" companies will be very busy with their new projects, someone will propose that we need a new and bigger prison, then we will end up having the biggest jail in Southeast Asia.

I foresee that the Prison Break TV series new season will be shoot in Malaysia, hopefully I am not the victim under this new policy, or else I will pinpoint to you which jail cell that I stay there before when I watch Prison Break II together with you.

Ok. Now let say our minister scrap the idea of putting someone in jail, they issue a RM300 fine on you when you get caught without wearing seatbelt. What I forsee that our police officers will be damn busy, when they are busy, they become thirsty. As we all know we have a very hot wheather in Malaysia. Coffee is something good which you can quench your thirst, you know what I mean.

In short, buckle up is always good but implementing in Malaysia is a problem, at least for now.
