Memories of Utah State University

Saw someone joined the group of Utah State University in facebook, so I click on it and discovered some pictures that bring me back to time for 13 years. During that time, there aren't any digital cameras, and Intel just introduced Pentium PCs and our school already using it in the labs, where as my friend is still using 486 machine in UK.My uni is located at a town called, Logan. It is just half an hour drive to Idaho state, where you can eat one of the best produced potatoes in Idaho.
This is the 'Old Main' Building, first USU building since 1888, I hope I didn't mixed up the years with other watch makers.

Another view of the Uni. The institution provide shuttle bus that travels around the campus, I still remember phone call around Logan are free. You can chit chat with your friend on the phone as long as you want. That is how I learn to become I good listener, where some 'broken hearts' called you earlier in the morning to complain about their relationships and some share with you on their achievements.

Old Main building during winter time. It is a torture when you have a class at 8am. It is very hard to wake up in such a nice cooling weather. I try not to turn on the heater because my skin will get itchy. However, some Malaysians turn on the heater like no tomorrow, you feel like walking into an oven whenever you enter their room. I guess they want to make their dorm 'feels like home'. Back to the 8am thingy, I want to confess that I have been skipping quite a number of Marketing course during my uni days because it fell on 8am class during winter time. One day, I went to the class, and then you know what I found out? The class which I attend was the last class of the semester, which I never know...Anyway, I scored a 'B' for my marketing subject, I think I could have done it better if I attend classes because some of the answers in the exams are from the lecture. You won't be able to find it in your text book unless you attend the class.
Look at the hill! You can ski during the winter, just 20-30 minutes drive from the campus. It is the view that makes me choose USU for my tertiary education. Of course, I will never make it without my father's sponsorship. It is the greatest gift which he had ever gave me - Education. I proudly told my friends and colleagues that whatever he had sponsored me before, I had make the money back before I return to my home country. But of course, I can only pay him back via interest, not the principal. -_-

Hmmm... if I am not mistaken, those International Student who doesn't mean the English requirement will spend a quarter in this building. I never spent a quarter here, that's why I forgot what building is this. :p

The USU students call themselves Aggies, the bull is like a animal symbol for USU.

If I am not mistaken, the bull statue comes with a artificial dick too... good thing is, the dick never shrinks no matter the weather is warm or cold.

I guess this is during spring time, crossing the field takes time. With my walking speed, I think it takes more than 5 minutes from one end to the other end.
I know there are walking trails prepared for me, but usually I prefer to walk over the grasses. Reason? It can prolong the lifespan for my Nike Air, especially the thread of the shoes.

Okay, here are some Aggie chicks with blonde and brunette hair. The capital city of Utah State is Salt Lake City, it was named the 'Whitest City' in the US. Even a lot of football players are white, that is why you look at the photo, it doesn't give you any feel of a 'melting pot' even though you move your focus out of the 5 girls. Don't be surprise if 2 out of 5 girls on the picture are married. They married quite young, we used to have a debate why Mormons get married so young? The main conclusion that we found out is - Mormons can't have pre-marital sex. It is just a debate, or your can call it a 'intellectual discussion', you can always challenge our assumption.

This is the stadium that I watched my first and last live American football competition. That day we are challenging our strong competitor - BYU. Unfortunately, USU was smacked even though we possess the home court advantage.

Really missed my Uni life. When I look back, I feel like I missed out a lot of things in my Uni life. Of course, I also gain a lot of things in return...
