Krabi + Phuket II

The island in Krabi where we stopped for lunch.
At night we went out for steam boat dinner, most of us got tanned after a full half day trip.

I wonder how much is the Quad size Burger King?!Take a walk after dinner, we went to the pub for a drink.

First time I am exposed to this kind of game (Jenga?). Well, I would say I am doing quite alright.. hehehe

The pub owner's dog? It is very cute. Check out the curly fur. :)

A very cute bartender with a very sweet smile. She looks better in real person.

The next day we take the ferry from Krabi back to Phuket Island. Took the shot at the pier while waiting for boarding.

Looking at the sky, you can see the rain storm is coming.

We safely cruise away from the rain. Clear sky ahead!

Everyone is hungry after we reached hotel, some can't wait to taste the local delicacy... for me, I passed... :p

The hotel that we stayed, it is half an hour away from Patpong beach, rooms are very clean and neat. The price is not very high either.

What a trip with a group of old friends from Primary school! :)

We dine at this restaurant recommended by the hotel owner. The food is quite ok and the price is reasonable too. (above pic)

On our next day lunch at Phuket, I had one of my best food in this Krabi + Phuket trip, didn't take down the restaurant name though, it is some sort of Irish Bar and Grill-kind of restaurant. The food is really good, the steak so juicy and you can't feel that you are actually having it in Thailand. Each person paid around RM40+, good value for money!

Sekinchan trip

Last Friday I went to Sekinchan with my friends who are into photography. I never know there is a padi field in Sekinchan, all the while I thought is in Kedah. And Sekinchan is just another fishing village as it is quite close to Tanjung Karang.

Ok, all the above photos are edited, I am not going to hide the fact. :)

My first continental

Quite some time didn't blog already, reason? The connection has been slow for the past 2-3 weeks, and I am busy with my new toy!! :)
Got myself a used 05' Skoda Superb, the car is less than 5 years old, driven by a company CEO previously. To cut the long story short, I got it at a very good deal, bought at below market price.
Quite a number of the Malaysians have no idea about Skoda Superb. The funny thing is, the bank who lent me the money don't even have any idea what kind of car is that? The officer said he want to take some photos of the car so he can bring back and show his superior. Well, those who know a little about cars like me will hunt for this kind of bargains. Reason? The car is a poorman's Audi. It was a stretched Volkswagen Passat, under the car, you can see some Audi spare parts inside. Even the layout is the same as Audi A6, off course, not the latest Audi A6, it is the 99-04 A6.
The car is using the award winning B5 Audi 1.8 turbo engine, it can produce 150hp with 210nm of torque at around 2k RPM. So it actually drive like a 2.3L engine. If I am willing to spend a 2-3k to modify the configuration of the engine. It can churn out 19x hp. Although it is a 10 years old of German engineering and technology, it is still very worth on every single cent for what I have paid for.
Well, I have spent RM3.7k on replacing all the tyres and wear and tear parts in one weekend. I got my first shock when I received my first repair bill because this car shared the same parts with Audi and VW, but I do believe that the parts should be quite durable and once the wear and tear parts are replaced, it is good to go for another few years.

'I Have A Date With Spring' The Musical

My friend got a free ticket of 'I have a date with spring' the musical (我和春天有个约会音乐剧) from Raymong To, so I went to check out the show with her and another friend at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. To be honest, the show is much better than I thought! Part of the collection will be donated to Tzu-Chi International Relief for Myanmar. Sponsored by Live to Love (http://www.l2love.org/)

I have heard about this movie long time ago but I never really watch it when I was young, so I have no idea at all with the storyline. The HK movie first realease was around 1994 if I am not mistaken based on the information from Wikipedia.

The story talks about the friendship of 4 singers who worked in the nightclub during the late 60s. I find it a bit like Asian version of 'Mama Mia'. :) Anyway, in short, Great show great storyline, I find the story quite touching too, the show is about two and half hours long hours. I think those with parents that are over 50 will love this! Will recommend it to my friends as well.

i-Robot

I have watched the movie i-Robot before, I totally forgot what is it about the movie, all I remember is the 'i-Robot', Will Smith, and the new Audi A4 police car (B8 model) in that movie. Recently when I had a drink with some colleagues, someone brought up the i-Robot topic. Now, finally I have a chance to look at the real 'i-Robot' thingy. My friend's family purchased one for RM2.4k so this thing can do some house work for them. One thing really smart about this i-Robot, when it is low in power, the robot will go back to its' base to do its own charging. Only thing is it can't climb the stairs yet. Just the matter of time we will have something like a Wall-E in the future. We really need something like a Wall-E. Reason? Look at the drain below:

I took this photo on a drain near the shoplots that are quite close to my house. Sometimes I really wonder if these idiots who throw stuff into the drain ever been to school? No way the teacher thought them drain = dumpster, dumpster = drain. Some people are just plain ignorant, dumb or what? When there is a big dumpster next to him he don't want to make good use of it, he simply throw the paper into the drain. I hope there is a Greater Wall-E that can recycle these retards!

Dog Poo

Find this poster is quite interesting, I always describe dog poo as 'mines'... and now 'you are worried about stepping on dog poo' huh?

Gift from Charity

One day my colleague ask me to give him RM10 as donation for his church thing. So I handed him Rm10... After one weekend, he told me he had got something for me in return, I was wondering how come donation got something in return one? My colleague gave me an Elk or reindeer or errr.... dunno what is that, forgot the name, I think it was 'Ok' or 'Cute' in a way. So I brought it back home and give it to my little niece, but then her mother (my sis) complain that the fur of this doll will come out easily. At the end, the charity gift was donated to orphan house...

Chili Chocolate or Chocolate Chili

My colleague bought one Chili Chocolate/Chocolate with chili back from his Bali trip. Aquarius like me is very eager to try out how does it taste? I never try a chocolate with chili before, so I tore out one square and try it out.
The chocolate square taste like dark chocolate, light bitterness at first, but then, slowly, you feel like there is some spiciness inside your mouth. I wonder who the hell create this kind of chocolate? If you ask me if I will buy it again? My answer is definitely a big NO.

Phone Camera Photos taken in Singapore

Do check out how much it cost for 1 litre of mineral water selling in 7 Eleven. SGD3.65!! I assume is more expensive than petrol.
That day our team went for this Brazilian restaurant named 'Carnivore'. Yes, the name says it all, if you are a carnivore, you will love it! There are more than 10 BBQ meat which they will serve u, beef, mutton, chicken, ham, fish, etc.. Of course, they also have fresh salad bar, one person is about 39+ SGD which I think it is alright if you make Singapore Dollar. I don't have any pics taken for the food due to I am busy eating it, I guess I have taken a lot of meat on that particular night.

In short, I think the food is quite ok, worth a try if you never been here before!
